About
I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany, working on nuclear verification, disarmament, and non-proliferation, as part of “VeSPoTec: Center for Integrated interdisciplinary verification research”, funded by the German Ministry of Science and Education. I am also a Senior Research Associate at the Middle East Treaty Organization (METO).

Formerly, I was a research fellow (2016-2021) and associate (2021-2022) at the German Institute of Global and Regional Studies (GIGA), in Hamburg, and I held research management positions at the Brazilian Center for International Relations (IBRI), between 2011 and 2013 and 2015 and 2016. I also have teaching experiences at the University of Hamburg (Germany) and the University of Brasília (Brazil).

I hold a PhD in Political Science (Summa Cum Laude) from the Georg-August University of Göttingen, Germany, in cooperation with GIGA, a Master and a BA in International Relations from the University of Brasilia, Brazil, and a DU (Diplôme d'Université) in International Nuclear Law from the University of Montpellier, France, in cooperation with the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency. I'm also an alumnus of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation and was granted fellowships and grants by institutions like CAPES, CNPQ, FES, BMBF.
